My aunt is in Stage 3 of her lymphoma. I don't know exactly what that means, but I think it means she's near the end. My mom said that her particular kind of lymphoma is the first-ever case in Taiwan--maybe even in the world, which makes a cure unlikely. She's suffering a lot--she's on morphine at the hospital to keep the pain at a bearable level.
I cried in the car on the way to the mall when my mom told me.
God, I never would have thought that someone as good as my aunt would have go through something so emotionally and physically painful as this. Why her? Why now?
